Looking for info on Seaborne airlines - flying twin otters on floats out of st thomas/st croix area. I was in the area last week and had the oppurtunity to watch them taking off and landing in st thomas, right in front of my hotel. Seems like an awesome way of life and was looking for more specifics on hiring ,pay and cost of living in the virgin islands. Thanks for the help.

I have a good friend that works there. They fly a Twin Otter on floats.
They fly a triangle from old San Juan, St. Croix & St. Thomas.
1st year FO pay starts mid 30's. (that is better than any FO pay in the regionals on the stateside)
Heard upgrades are running about a year & 1/2.
Great place to work & live.

i also have a good friend down there...I didn't know first year pay was that high.I thought is was closer to the mid 20's... mostly out and backs outta St.croix. lots of legs per day...usually work from early morning til around 4 or 5pm...legs are about about 20 minutes between st. croix and st. thomas.. and slightly longer to san juan with about an hour break for lunch...no night flying or IFR...

right now they have a few people jumping ship and the rest (captains) are being worked pretty hard with fewer days off because of the losses.. good captain pay for the equipment and days off can't be beat.. lots to do, snorkeling, diving, the Cruzan Rum factory:D ..a few good bars and lots of other islands to travel to. If i didn't have my job i would apply

john is that u?(erjdrvr)
