Yesterday two emb. pushed off the gate with calling themselves Chautauqua, but their tail numbers were MD.
So, is this true? As far as I know, the EMB-170's at US are only going to wexford if and when US emerges from bankruptcy (and some other provisions that drag out the process further). US is still in Ch. 11.

The shuttle americal guys are pretty pumped about flying the 170's.
At what wage rate? And what's this talk of putting the 170's on the Shuttle certificate so that CHQ can fly larger equipment?
from the Associated Press
Republic said the acquisition would allow it to add its Embraer 170 aircraft to the Shuttle America fleet and allow Republic to fly even larger planes, to comply with scope restrictions some of its major airline partners have with their pilots.
Anyone at CHQ know the real deal? Has this already been discussed (if so, sorry for the re-post)

CHQ will fly aircraft with 50 and less seats. To comply with AA scope of no more than 50 seats.

RP will operate 70 seaters to satisfy DL scope of no more than 70 seats.

SA will operate 70 seat and large aircraft (possible Mid Atl 70+ seat aircraft and future EMB-190s) thus circumventing DL scope.

Looks like the end-around is a good play for RAH and Wexford. Too bad they scored against the DL and AA scope language!

ALPA's Apartied Scope just R O C K S ! I can see how this keeps mainline pilots employed and keeps the jobs from going out to non - ALPA carriers.

SO... Wexford can't get the operating cert. for Republic and is sick and tired of paying fines to the AA pilot group. How better to get around that than to buy Shuttle and transfer the planes there! No more fines, no more sticky mess trying to get an operating cert.

Seems fairly straightforward.

The answer is, yes they(RP) will get it, it is just delayed a bit. The Airways 170's are not in any way operated by CHQ or RP or SA at this point in time. Airways has to emerge from BK first for any of that to happen.

Well I hate to sound COLD, but I think monkeys will fly out of our butts before US air comes out of bankruptcy! Should have been gone long ago!

So Why cant Wexford get a certificate? They have been trying for over a year now.

They almost had the certificate up and running with the SDF FSDO, then some genius got the bright idea to transfer it to the IND FSDO. IND FSDO is the biggest jerk offs this side of Homeland Security.
They royally screwed this one up. They failed their first application for Republic.
The problem is that unlike most airlines that have departments that handle this, we have 20 num-nut interns photo-copying the CHQ GOM/POH and changing the name to RP.
This is why COEX has 3 memory items on the 145 and we have 28.
Anything to save a buck, just to pay it back 3-fold 2 years later.

You don't have to circumvent Delta scope. The new scope would allow an airline to operate an E-190 for someone else as long as its not operated for Delta and is not operated on a Delta route.

I've heard this complaint from numerous pilots for CHQ. 28 MEMORY ITEMS!
I couldn't believe it when I heard that. I also heard that INDY FSDO is the thank for that! Just Crazy!

Are you sure about that? We allowed new scope as of Dec 1st of last year that allows other DCI carriers to fly planes larger than 70 seats, as long as they aren't doing it for us. No circumventing here. Sounds like that won't change. Thank you ALPA.(ooops, I just saw Micheal707's post---sorry)

Bye Bye--General Lee
