I am currently looking at flight schools. (0 flight hrs) Flight Safty sounds good for going into the corp. end. I want to waste as little time as possible in getting a non instructor job. ideas???

Honestly there are tons of places that can get you the same ratings needed for various amounts of prices. However, I understand you want to do things fast and all because time is money, but you must keep in mind its not about how fast you can do things but the quality of training you get. Look for quality and not who can get you done the fastest. If you want to spend 100k go to flight safety but others are out there that can do what they can and for a lot cheaper. Do you research, flying is fun and will be, but enjoy your training because the real world comes next and there is not much you can do on 1st and 2nd year pay for a regional. Keep your options open and do not worry about fastest, go for quality to many young kids want it fast but do not realize it takes time and a lot of effort be willing to work hard! Best of luck!
You don't think FSI is going to require you to be a CFI?? I understand this is your 1st post and you have 0 hours...however, if you really want to get into this profession, you're going to have to pay your dues. And one of those dues is usually as a CFI. Unless, of course, you go to Gulfstream Academy - pay a gob of cash and then get paid $7/hour to fly right seat on a Beech 1900 for 250 hours. I have to admit that I learned a lot more about flying when I was a CFI than I ever did learning how to fly. But if you've got money to throw around, look at Gulfstream or TAB or one of those pay for training type schools...otherwise, go to a good Mom & Pop FBO, get your ratings and instruct for a couple years - you gotta get experience somehow.
Save your money slick. Support a mom and pop flight school and local instructors in your area. No one really cares where you got your private, instrument, commercial or CFI. Your license will not indicate where it is you received your training. Not one single job that I have gotten in the past asked where I schooled (it's not even on my resume). It's all about ratings and flight hours. And you will get more flight hours for the buck at your local flight school then you will with the preditory flight schools like FSI, COMAIR, GULFSTREAM ACADEMY, ALL ATP, EMBRY RIDDLE et al. If you really want to go somewhere to get your pilot's license then go to Professional Flight Training at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. I have never worked for them, but I did spend my own money and received ratings Private thru ATP with this fine mom and pop school (with a large fleet of Pipers/Beechcraft which rate a 9 in and out). I agree that the flight instructor route is an excellent way to pay your dues. If you want an alternate way, I would advise against any job where you had to pay to sit in the right seat, but hey, it's a free country.
Check out some of the ab-initio programs. Mesa Airlines has a 2 year program run through a local college in Farmington, NM. I'm not sure of the cost today, but you can get student loans. You get quality instruction in Bonanzas, Barons, and the B-1900. The program is designed to get you into the right seat of the 1900. Most who finish the program get hired. Then you work for Mesa.
