He was management and a "yes man", and disciplined pilots for making the right calls, because simply it was his job to do so. On multiple occasions he has asked pilots to to unsafe or illegal acts, as all the PM's have done.

Until we have PM's and a chief pilot that is not willing to do anything illegal or unsafe "for the good of the company", it will be only through our Union and ASAP that we can make some real change.

The best thing our company could do would be to hire pilots into management with integrity and the ability (and authority) to stand up to higher-ups trying to push illegal or unsafe activities.

The definition of integrity is doing the right thing even if no one is watching or if someone is pressuring you to do the wrong thing. Bilger may have had integrity when he was in the Air Force. In fact I would say I know he did. However he did not have it as a PM.

lost cause

That is probably the most synical quote I have read on this board to date. Bilger and integrity mentioned in the same sentance, ha what a joke. Excuse me I have to go hurl now. He went from you go in there and tell ms just how bad this joint is being run, to yes sir can I call some more pilots in for a grand inquisition. We all have a job to do and we all know what yours is. At least you can retire with your integrity and honor in tact like Ken Combs, oh wait a minute you lost your nads after he resigned, nevermind.
