Confirmed. The early shift that day walked out, and apparently every shift since then has slowed down. With an engine swap (825) looming by Tuesday on top of the rest of this crap, the mx is going to back uuuuuuuuuup.

All mechanics got a 2 page letter from SF explaining his "displeasure" and legality of what they did, the RLA, etc.

OH! Since the mechanics are ARFF, if they ALL walked out (including the sooper) the airport would have to shut down. Shoestring operation much?

I can see that on the PDT Daily: SBY temporarily OTS, contact ops for further information.

The reason the MDT mechanics haven't slowed or had a sick out is because this matter doesn't affect them. MDT mechanics (former ALG) make $6.00 and hour more than the PDT (SBY, CLT & ROA) mechanics. The PDT mechanics are demanding that they be paid the same as the MDT guys. PDT management's response to they was, "What are you willing to give up in exchange for a pay raise."

It's B.S. If PDT is going to pay half of their mechanics one rate and the other half $6 an hour less, who wouldn't be pissed. They're all PDT mechanics.
