I bet this is affecting airlines with plenty of Asian routes---like Northwest and United. A friend of mine was going to Beijing in May and got a letter from the travel agency telling him that the US Gov't was warning everyone from going to Asia unless it was absolutely necessary. He rescheduled the trip for Oct. Even the crews flying to Asia must be worried.

Bye Bye---General Lee:cool:  :(

The news makes the epidemic appear quite severe and the measure being taken in Singapore and Hong Kong to combat it are very strong. Closing all schools, quarantining entire apartment blocks, and passing out surgical masks to all subway riders sure maks you think twice about making a trip to Asia. This all at the worst possible time for the airlines who desperately need traffic to an area that really isn't affected by the Iraq war.
