I'm looking at buying a 140 when I get back to Camp Pendleton in the fall, and for the life of me I can't find any websites that have info on hangers available in the SD area. Well I take that back, the SD county's website has telephone numbers, but I won't be calling them from over here.

I'd prefer Palomar, but it may be worth it to drive an hour or so to Gillespie.
Even in Oranage County if I can get a good deal.

???????????

Thanks.

Gillespie..no question

SEE is your best bet by far. Montgomery and Palomar are way out of our paygrade (unless you are 0-9 or above). I have some buddies that have the number for rentals in Gillespie. Plus it is a fun place to hang out and network with guys with really cool planes.

Tie downs at CRQ

Palomar actually added a bunch of tie downs on the north side of the field. It is a pretty nice area with a self-serve fuel pit.

I think they are going for $125 or $150 per month. From their web site:

To obtain a tie down spot on the “True North” ramp,
contact Peggy Fernandez at 619.956.4829

Hope this helps.

Ted
