To: Interested and the incitful
I have recently researched in and out of different threads that I have drawn a conclusion. I was thinking of going to a "slick",as someone once put it, academy, ATP infact. I thought long and hard about the 38k or so I would have to borrow to get to a point where I could see some sort of income, not much, that would start the repayment process. So, I thought I would put a invitation out to those who are looking to advance their ratings or were thinking of going to one of these schools, and ask if you would consider investing that money into a shared portion of a multi-engine plane. The thought of owning your own plane would have a far grater return on your money in the short run. This is just an idea I have had since I started flying. I'm currently disappointed in the flight school I've been attending and have put a stop to the spending of my valuable money.
Questions
1) Has anyone taken this course of action?
2) Would the over all cost for owning for say two years be a bennifit?
3) What would be some other costs to think about other than(fuel,Ins.,Repair, annuals)?
I look forward to hearing from the flightinfo family!
Thanks Loagn
