I'm just getting my logbook squared away for any airliner that will take me and I have a general question about S-3B PIC time. For any Hoover driver that can help me out, my question is as follows: When did you start logging S-3B PIC time? Was it following your FAM NATOPS check? If so, did you log SIC time when you flew with a Pilot IP following your NATOPS check? The same questions goes for flying here at the training command. For example, if I jump in the back seat of a FORM flight can I share the PIC time? I know I'm getting into the weeds here but I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

If you signed for the a/c and have flight controls in front of you, you are the PIC.

That's how I did it.

Good luck in your job hunt.

Its sad to see them go.The last jet with a good location. Is there any plan to move any hornets down to North Island?Who wants to be based at Lemoore.

More SIC issues

Oh yeah, sure... let's put Hornets at North Island and its 8000' runway. Plus, I'm sure there are no noise abatement issues. At least the crossing runway is a whopping 7500'!
Back to the S-3 SIC question: being a single-pilot jet, I don't think you can log SIC time. I believe it has to be an aircraft that requires 2 pilots for you to be legal to do that. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

The noise is awesome.Except that all those rich snobs at Hotel del Coronado can't stand when those S-3 flybys.San Diego is a military town and all those rich people need to get over it .What is funny is they hate the helicopter sound worse then the jets.

Was it an S-3 or a helo that dropped a door into the Hotel Del pool while flying overhead awhile back??

I've always heard it was an engine cover from an S-3 hence why we can't fly a straight in to 29 anymore. Unless it's IMC.

We have about 1 guy/gal get selected out of here - Meridian - every other winging day.
