Some spectacular equipment.. and all for sale. Exactly why we should be expanding our capabilities and #'s rather than multi-role/fewer numbers.

That and the fact that there would be no way to mass produce huge numbers of F-22s in event of a major war. Then again, we do need something that can knife fight with the Su-27. I see it both ways....

Those are great photos!
I thought the M-55 was long gone. Thanks for showing at least one of them is still flying.

I think the idea is to fight with an Su-27 with an AIM-120 long range... we all know how that's worked out in the past though.

As far as #'s in the event WWIII were to break out that's what the stash at Davis Monthan is for and why you can't send them anything less than a 100% up jet for storage.

Are you aware that the wall came down in Berlin a few years ago? WWIII's a bit of a stretch.:uzi:

You don't pay attention much... there are other countries out there that could stir things up that are flying front line Russian equip.

So Mav, who's next on the 'axis of evil' list? Iran? They fly F-4s and F-14s. How about Pakistan? Nah, they fly Lawndarts. Maybe Venezuela (they think we're invading anyway)....but they fly A-model Porkers too. China...that's it, you must be talking about China. A billion people to sell Pepsi to will probably keep us from fighting them over Taiwan when the time comes. So who's that leave?

US Owns All

Anyone who thinks China is a serious threat is a nervous ninny noooob. Hell, we have GOD and Aliens on our side.

Building the F-4 with no gun, thinking everything was gonna be a BVR engagement.

I'm not a smart guy, but I have no idea how that relates to current capabilities against a Flanker.

.

Don't talk tactics until you're at least in the RAG. Then,........ don't talk tactics on the internet. Remeber,......those who know,.....don't talk about it. That's just stupid.

we must always continue to progress in our capabilities and weapon systems..if nothing else than for the pure fact of deterence...I think we are really screwing the pooch ordering so few f22s...just my .02
