I bought a Costco 22" rollaboard and it lasted 2 1/2 weeks before the wheels started screetching and have almost fallen off. So incase anyone is considering saving some cash and going with Costco - don't.

Anyone tried Strong Bags product? I'm wondering how it compares to the Purdy Neat stuff.

Luggage works is the ticket. I bought a $90 special at Target it lasted about one month and blew apart, took it back and got my money back, bought a luggage works bag and it is the bomb diggity.
 
i bought a 70 dollar special from walmart, its manufactured by those europeans that make those ever handy pocket knives. It has held up pretty well over the past year, the handle and wheels are in great shape, but the place where i hook my flight kit up is wearing very quickly and will break very soon. Thats probably because my flight kit weighs almost 45 pounds! i will probably get another one after this one breaks. i dont spend over 100 dollars on any one single work related item, this job is not worth it!
 
My travelpro has been great, and they have a flight crew discount if you contact the office in Boca Raton, FL.
 
Goddammmit. I bought the Costco last month after suggestions from several line guys. Well, the good thing is if it does break, I can take it back whenever I want and get my money back. That and the crew store here on base sends the LW bags in for repair. I just didn't want to spend the cash on an overnight bag when I spent so much cash on the Scott kit.
 
Buy the Kirkland brand bag at Costco - cheap and you can take it back (it has a lifetime guarantee.)

All you pay is the price difference since the time you purchased it and the time you return it (unless you have a receipt) - which in my case was over a period of 3+ years = 10 bucks.

If you keep the receipt, you don't have to pay anything.

Buy the nicest bag you possibly can, whatever it is. Spending more on it now (and taking care of it) saves you from throwing hard earned $$$ down the toilet a few times a year.

I have a TravelPro and it's great. Works fine after 2+ years so far. Last black roller I had lasted 7 years and I paid about $150 for it at Macy's, I think.

Just retired my fathers old Travelpro after 17 years but Ive heard the new one are ********************e.

Ordered the 22 professional from eBags. While its not been put to the test yet..definetly looks like it will handle most anything. The rollerblade wheels have a quick release axle..took about 3 seconds when i tried changing one out. They also include a spare. Get the laptop kit as an add-on, its a hard shell that attaches inside..nice feature.

The nice thing is people hear me coming and move out of my way as i'm hauling ass from one concourse to another. The bad thing is the wheels are going to come off any day now. :)

That's what I have. The Kirkland Executive 22" rollaboard. I think it would have been a good rollaboard for an occasional traveler.
 
My PNS draggin wagon is on it's 3rd year. 6 months of being abused by the rampies on the Beech, and the rest by me on the ERJ. I have nothing but good stuff to say about it. I'm always amazed by asking guys how long they have had theirs when I see a really beat up one and find out it is like 6+ years old. I mean really, how long should one expect their bag to last givin the abuse we (and the rampers, van drivers, etc) put them through?? I'm also on my first set of wheels and they have never gotten the dreaded "squeaks" that so many other bags I have heard in the terminal had.

buh buh but its so EXPENSIVE!

737 bag, 2 years, still solid as a tank and worth every penny...especially if you commute.

Travelpro sold out and is no longer manufacturing to the same standards.

LuggagePro (formerly PNT) bags are the final word in luggage for people who need a rollaboard that will work every time.

The first time you get to carry your chineese walmart bag a mile out to the airplane with everyone laughing at you you will figure it out!
