I don't want to start a flame war between CMR & DAL guys.

That being said...I see alot of postings on this board about RJDC. I did a thread search, but I still couldn't find out exactly what the acronym stood for. The context of the argument seems to have something to do with scope, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for the replies.

RJDC acronym stands for Regional Jet Defense Coalition. The RJDC was formed by Captain Dan Ford and a few others at Comair. They have a law suit agains ALPA (not against other pilots, or against any airline) the suit is against the National Union for failure in it's duty for fair representation to regional jet drivers, and yes their are issues of scope involved here. I can't believe you can not find in a web search, the full legal brief, and all sorts of information from the affected pilots. There are many Comair pilots who have signed on as litigants in the law suit, as well as some ASA pilots.

I just did a thread search here on Flightinfo. Didn't even think to Yahoo it. Doh!:p

Thanks for the info.

Don't believe it. They think they are being mistreated and not allowed to expand, when they actually just got a larger portion of the Delta pie (in percentages). They think they have "manifest destiny" when it comes to bidding for other airlines regional work---when they can't even compete with the Mesa rates. (which I think is good actually) If we let them (via our contract) do what they wanted and our managment accepted---we would be left with 1000 RJs, 10 777's, and one 737-200 for the NY Shuttle. Don't believe it.

Bye Bye--General Lee;)

General,

That statement is totally misleading and misrepresents the issues. You know it and I know it.

You have a lot of credibility. Don't abuse it with ludicrous rhetoric. That's beneath you (or should be).

Surplus, just as an evaluation of your critique of General, I feel you just posted one of the most tactful posts on here. You're right about the General, but from what you just said, I believe you are in that category also... at least in my book. Good job. If everyone knew how to be as tactful as you, there would be little, if any, flaming on here. Carry on.

I don't agree with your opinion of Surplus1 but why take anyone's word for it? About 99% of everything the RJDC has written is on that web site under "Downloads." Read up on it yourself and draw your own conclusion.

It will be time consuming and it won't be easy but responsibility is not usually easy.
