What is the best way to present my experiences as a Naval Aircrewman on my resume' and in an interview? I did a tour as a S-3 SENSO and as a P-3 Wing dude....

I have just shy of 1000 hours (special crew time). I know it doesn't 'count', but should I put it on the resume? I learned a lot in those hours....they have definately made a better pilot.

I also qualified as an "ACT facilitator" aka CRM instructor, as well as an instructor on some specialized EW gear. I am currently at FlightSafety working on my ratings and building time.

Any prior E aircrew or NFO's who have made the transition, your input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Chunk

I included my experience as a WSO/Nav on my resume'. My interviewer at ASA was a former Army Helo guy and understood that I had an extra 3000+ hours of "SA." My military flying was also a good conversation piece during the interview.

I'd also suggest presenting it in the most unique way possible. Whatever you felt was special about your job should be in the resume'. Anything like that that piques an interviewers interest is another gold star next to your name. In my case, I featured my experience flying with the "Hurricane Hunters." It is a unique mission and almost everyone is curious about flying through hurricanes. Anything like that that is seen only on a handful of resumes will get you looked at.

Best of luck,

John
