Most definitely lost a great one.

RIP Olds

I had met and spoken with the General many times. He was a solid person who had a devotion to his people that was unmatched. A fighter pilots fighter pilot.

This sucks!

From what one of my friends told me, Robin was still visiting fighter units, and probably still drinking them under the table, upto pretty recently

He shut me down one night. I woke up (came too) about two hours later and he was still at it. I regret missing whatever stories he was telling.

When my friends were in high school reading Sports Illustrated, I was reading about Robin Olds and Chappie James. They were at the top of my Heroes List.

Look out St. Peter! ;) TC

He spoke at one of our UTAs a couple of years ago. It was amazing how he was still pushing it up with the bros.
What was truly amazing was how he scared the crap out of the politically correct commanders we have out there today. These CCs didn't deserve to be (let alone drink) in the same room as the General.
