I start IOE this week and wanted to know how long I should expect to be on reserve? I heard anywhere from 1-3 months, is that an accurate timetable? Bt the way I am on the 200.

Not sure on your side but this is the best time to be on RES, last year I (200 CA) flew 12hrs for both Nov and Dec. It seems my fo's say it's less than three full months now though.

Probably will be some serious movement after Nov 20th. I understand quite a few guys holding our for their check before they bail.

I talked to a new hire FO last week who's been here 3 months on the CRJ-200. He only spent one month on reserve. He's now holding 4 day trips.

Crj-200

Captain side should be no more than 2 or 3 months reserve if the movement from this past year keeps up....all on attrition too.

How about on the captain side?

That depends on the aircraft. On the ATR, it's about 6 years to hold a line. CR2 is about 5 from what I understand. CR7 is 8 for relief and 9 for a line. That's all years with the company (seniority), not years on reserve!

my friend at ASA was drafted to the crj-700 and is 8 from the bottom, from numbers from last month. how long until he can hold a hard line?

I upgraded 3 months ago on the 200. The first month they build a line and then I have been on reserve. I will be on reserve next month. I am 25 away from holding a relief line.
I talked to RC yesterday and he said julian date 302 we had 296 people leave. Should be more movement after the checks have been past out.
