Hey guys Iv just started to check out the reserves and I am meeting with a recruiter tommorow. But I want to try and verify some info he told me because even he admited he was a newby to the system. I have already decided to go up for the board "unsponsored". Now I know this is a difficult question to answer ( ill put my stats down below) and all but in general is "unsposored" a tough way to go? maybe even tougher then active duty OTS board?

Second, if you do get approved unsponsored does the reserves give you a "list" of units that need pilots or do you just call them up yourself and ask for sponsorship? I know that no matter what you are resposible for going out and getting a unit to sponser you so Im just try to veryify this "list" the recruiter told me they give you.

Third, are there a lot of applicants to the reserves as compared to active duty or guard.

Last how tough is an A-10 unit to get into. I have one in my state and rumor had it that they sponsered some UPT guys but thats just a rumor. I know the F-16 uints really only take prior active guys but if anyone has ever heard different please let me know. I know some of these questions are difficult to anwer but i have searched and its tough getting some of these answers. Im just trying to get a general perspective. Thanks guys.

Stats:
GPA 2.9 Aeronautics worked full time through school
PSCM 96
AFOQT 92/58
FC1 physical: done and approved by AETC last year so can i make for the march board?
Flight time: look at the left of the post please
