$21 an hour

This is the average base pay, excluding benefits, of one of US Airways' 1,930 telephone reservation agents.

Man...it looks like the people who book passengers on there flights make more than a regional pilot. That job doesnt require much intelligence either.

Reservation Agent. $21 an hr X 40 hrs a week X 4 weeks = $3360 Per month. $40,320 a yr.

Regional Pilot. $19 an hr X 75 hrs a month = $1425 a month
17,100 a yr.

Its nice to know how appreciated pilots are.

US Airways is paying $21 an hour now?? Because I thought that it was much lower. I make much much lower as a CSA for Colgan, and I dont know a single agent working for any other carrier who makes that much. And yes I do make more than a F/O but I also work in a week what some F/Os work in a month...

Up here in SYR Us Air had a res dept. After they closed it some became FA's with ALG. When they told me what they made plus how little they worked I was like no wonder this place is sinking faster than the Titanic. 4 day work weeks and 45, 000 plus to answer phones, you gotta be kidding.

How long has the most junior res agent at USAIR been there? 10 years? That will throw the average numbers off quite a bit. What is the first year pay, if they ever have one, or a res agent at USAIR?
