Alright you CHQ guys/gals........

I've just got word that this whole Republic gig is going to kick off on the 18th of August. My source is pretty d a m n reliable, but I just wanted to hear it/ or read about it from the people in the know. Not trying to flame bait here, just trying to figure out what the story is. Thanks in advance...........

And I already know what ALPA thinks about working for Republic........ their answer was that they could'nt care less...... so your thoughts would be appreciated as to the pro's and con's of this whole Republic thing. And please...... the scab thing is getting a little old, Im trying to get well thought out, educated responses here. Again thanks in advance.........................

Really...

What is the address of Republic's HQ? How many planes do they have on property? Can you find an operating certificate for Republic? When are they going to start blocking off sim time? Did they purchase their own sim's or will they use the ones in STL? What's the fax number to send a resume? Who does the hiring over there? How are they going to be any different from CHQ? Is this pilot group willing to be despised by their peers?
Where are the planes coming from? Who is going to be their code share partner? What type of benefits packages do they offer? Are you paid during training? Where are the seasoned check airmen coming from?

And all this by August 18th.

Really.....

August 18th 2007?

Stopp getting your panties in a bunch........ maybe I should have been more clear......the first class of checkairmen is whats suppose to kick off on the 18th of August 2003 ..... seasoned checkairmen? 16000 unemployed pilots out on the street and you have to ask that question? Go to climbto350.com and you'll see where to send your resume. Again.... not trying to flame here, just trying to find out what the word is.

I thought Republic was going to be staffed with US Air furloughees. Has something changed?

The U MEC has stated (in print) they will not approve J4Js at Republic so it doesn't seem like any furloughed Airways pilots will be there any time soon. I'm not sure Republic will be a Union carrier if no Airways pilots are on the property. ALPA national may nort care (or your respective airline's MEC), but I would guess U ALPA may have a different tune. I may be wrong though, it has happened before.

I wouldn't be suprised at the date.

They have had a lot more time to get Republic ready to go than JO had when he got Freedom out the door. When you are willing to loot the parent company for equipment and personnel you would be amazed at how quick these alter egos can get in the air.

You DO KNOW what ALPA thinks of this. Why don't you tell us then. Because do you know what ALPA thinks of FREEDOM? We think they are a bunch of whores. And some are trying to change the definition of the word SCAB to include people like Freedom.

Reference this web site. http://scablist.com/aboutme.htm

It sound like your trying to decide to work there or not. If you take a job at Republic, you will be taking the flying, and the leverage of the CHQ pilots away. If you work at republic your name will be added to a list. Pay your dues and don't take someone elses job from them.

Dude,

Stop talking out of your A$$. You don't know me so don't start telling me if Im gonna work there or not. F%ck where the hell do you idiots come from? Refer to my first post, then to the second. This is not a pot stirring thread. Yes..... I have talked to my MEC (ALPA) and they approved it, but thanks to this thread, I found out that there is no J4J's thing going on over at Republic, so that would make them just like Freedom. IF that is a true statement. Pay my dues????? I hope you mean my ALPA dues, cause if you mean the other kind of dues....... buddy you have no fu^king clue. An no Im not going to work for Republic, Im back in the bus in two weeks so you can keep that POS EMB all to yourself.

Would that be the greyhound bus??? get a clue you big mainline pilot. It's really clear to see who the idiots are on this board.

TWAER......nice comment comming from a tool. Hey you still flying that 9 for TWA or I mean AA or did you flow back to Eagle?

Try to get some info and idiots like you come out of the woodworks............ jeeesshhh forget it.

I think it is a 717... :p

Uh, Freedom does have a Jet-for-Jobs agreement with UsAirways. The misinformation regarding Freedom and Mesa is astounding at times.

No, not really. Mesa Air Group has a Jet for Jobs agreement with USAir. All of the aircraft and pilots flying under the Freedom certificate fly for America West and only America West, none of them are J4J pilots. The only J4J for USAir pilots are aircraft under the Mesa certificat and the contract only allows the former USAir pilots to fly in the USAir system.

Sucking shoe leather there abit with the whole "misinformation" dig aren't you.

Wile - You are correct. The original Freedom pilots voted to have a Jet for Jobs agreement with USAirways, but ALpa said no. Freedom, however, hired many USairway furloughees. My bad.

Yep

And those furloughees all came to Freedom before it came back into ALPA. They are ALL on the list of scabbags that's floating around. They may not be quite as low as the scum from Mesa that went over, but they are still one of the big reasons we lost all our leverage in negotiations. Don't let them do the same thing with Republic people.

FYI - the list above is inaccurate by several names and some of the pilots that were originally with Freedom have now gone back to the Mesa certificate to instruct. Better make sure you check every name and check it twice. You must be sure that your hatred is directed to the right people. Most Freedom pilots are now ALPA members in good standing. ALPA said that no by-laws were broken. Why isn't your beef with national ALPA? By the way, it is my understanding that Freedom was planning on having their own in-house union.
