The young SWA FO entitlement amazed me for a while, but now I am pretty much used to it. Is there any chance I was on your jumpseat last week?

You said, "frontier? did you guys recall your senior union leadership yet?"

(I needed a ride so I smiled while thinking "you are a total facking idiot")

I said, "no, in fact we are very happy with FAPA".

You didn't know what to say so you just countered with, and I am not making this up, "well how much did you make in 2009, 'cause I made 146,000".

At this point your Capt turned to you, and then to me, and just shook his head.

You may have the luv, but somewhere along the line you definitely lost the class.

This is interesting, could have asked, "How many profitible quarters have you had this year?"

I am one of those hoping that Bedford tires of his experiment and sells the entire branded operation...Incredibly unlikely, but one can always hope.

Stay Seated, assuming you had your druthers, who would you "hope" the Frontier brand is sold to if in fact BB does get bored?

Now that's a loaded question. I'm actually a fan of StaySeated and think he's been very well spoken through this whole thing but after the beating that we have given him I expect his answer to be........

Anybody but Southwest! And who could blame him.

Gup

Will go down as Kelly's dumbest move.

Giving up a fortress hub in Denver and international
routes, in order to keep a few short-sighted pilots happy.

I hardly doubt it when SWA picks up the pieces later after $100 oil, continuance of a recession and Republic continues to insert feet directly into mouth. Good luck with all that though.

Btw SWA management is a little smarter than that to think 2 pilot groups could resolve many issues in 2 days. A very smart move on G. Kelly's part. very very smart. In the meantime he earned a few kudos from the pilots.

Southwest is still at the top of my wish list, that way I can continue the "FAPA didn't decide" mantra for the rest of my career!

There is just not that many carriers out there that need an additional 55 narrow bodies so the sale is a pipe dream. But you just never know in this industry.

StaySeated,

I would second GuppyWN's statement. Despite numerous beatdowns by folks who are hoping to see a train wreck, you've held the high ground by in large. I'm hoping our Captain at least told the FO what an A-hole move that was and am sorry you were put through that. I live in a Republic domicile and look at the Bedford experiment as a potential wrecking ball to all our careers. I believe enough guys who work at Republic can attest to that and yet Bedford's making an attempt to sell a lot of people on the possibility that a tiger can change it's stripes. I don't believe it, but I do believe he's trying like hell to convince his audience. Unfortunately, you guys have little choice, but to go to work everyday and put up with the what if's and maybe's and for that part I hope things get better. I've maintained that the relationship between F9 and SWA should be business as we all live in a glass house.

Best of luck!
