However, I'm going to become a CFI in the next 2-3 months.
What kind of insurance do you recommened?
So would having one of their basic CFI non-owned policies cover me if I just went and rented from an FBO, not giving dual? Just a private for fun flight.midlifeflyer said:AOPA, AVEMCO and NAFI all have CFI insurance available. For the most part the policies look exactly like the no-owned aircraft (renter) policy you have right now, but with a special endorsement that covers you when acting as a CFI.
Keep in mind that this is insurance for acting as a CFI in someone else's airplane. Teaching in your own airplane is, from an insurance standpoint, a whole different ball game.
You gotta check to be sure. Unfortunately, unlike auto insurance, aircraft-related insurance is not heavily regulated and the policies are not standard.gkrangers said:So would having one of their basic CFI non-owned policies cover me if I just went and rented from an FBO, not giving dual?
