Hey, gang,
Just starting to look....where is a good place to rent a 172(or better) around Miami? I'm down here with work and the boss man had mentioned that he might like to fly around a little in something little. I think he started out his aviation fun years ago in a 172 so I'd like to keep it cessna.

Our airplane is spending the week at TMB so something there would be great. Thanks!

Oh, yeah, I don't have logbooks with me. Will an ATP and a medical be enough documentation to get checked out? I'm S.E. current and all that. (I haven't flown a prop swinger with a nosewheel in probably 4 or 5 years, though. For some reason it sounds like fun)

ADF Airways, Silver Express, and Dean are at KTMB and have 172's (dunno if they all allow rentals - some are only flight training). Plus I think Falcon Trust has training on going there too (dunno equipment or whatnot).

ADF (where I work) will allow rentals but you will need to show that you have a recent flight review. We have one glass and one new round gauge 172SP (plus the standard training 172's and a diesel 172 if you want to try something new). PM me for more details if you are interested.

Would a flightsafety pro card serve that purpose? Maybe that thing is good for something. This all may be moot, but I just want to know where to go if it comes up. ADF looks like where I'd go.

Diesel?

A diesel powered 172? Can you send me info on that or a link to where I may read about that? I've never heard of such.
Thanks

I would think this can be converted to bio-diesel. Diesel would be safer, not as volatile, opposed to 100LL. But the engine itself is heavy.
