Remaining Polar Base?

Just heard a rumor that the Polar bases in the lower 48 states are being closed and a new one in ANC will be opening in Sept. 08. Anyone else get this one?

From what I hear it is on the way and recent Polar new hires are going to Atlas and no more hiring at Polar. Interesting developments prior to the upcoming arbitration.

Any proof to back this up, or is it more hearsay?

Bigpimp...how did you get that picture of my girlfriend? She told me I was the ONLY ONE that had those photos. :D

Call it what you want, I just spoke to two Polaroids in ICN looking at the housing market in Anchorage. Latest word they heard was LAX would remain a base if Bobb cooperates, if not, only base would be ANC.

Flame bait or not, my info says around 09/2008 is the first expected basing in ANC for the remaining Polar crews from the guys doing the cost analysis.

My guess is that it is a management move to pressure the Polar crews into doing something. I think you guys should try and break it off in their posterior and put them in their place. Stick to your guns.
