Just curious, at what point in your carreer did you pick up a second job on the side to suppliment / maximize income as a regional pilot? Flamers need to reply.

Well, I finally applied for a job at the hotel that I use as a crash pad. I got the job!!!

I'm doing handy-man work for them when sitting reserve, and I never get called. So I'm making money while I'm not making money. Actually, last week I busted my a$$ and my back painting for them.

I'm sure there are much better way's to make money.

BoDean-

Arent you off first year pay yet? You should be livin large! Whats the word over there?.... (AE as i remember...)

Did Home Depot for 8 months. Put me in the Paint Dept, Electrical, and Hardware. Didn't have a clue for awhile but figured out how to BS my way through a lot of it. Fun job and pay was OK. Sure makes you appreciate your flying job at Eagle.

Isn't it sad that in this profession, with the responsibility we have, we still need to have second jobs to make ends meet?

Try these jobs

I was a substitute teacher, K-12, in northeast st louis (only 60 college credit hours required to apply), but got threatened by a group of 13 year olds all wearing gloves only on their right hands, so I quit. Then I was a valet parker, made $100 a night on Fri and Sat, but changed regionals, and now I'm a dog walker in Philadelphia. I bask in the glory.....

I delivered chinese food for an upscale place in NYC. It was a great job, easy, get to blast ACDC and just drive around and try not to eat other people's sesame chicken. One night I made $160 in tips for 3:45 of work, it was snowing out.

I applied at Home Depot, never got a response. Still trying to think of an idea for a second job. Something flexible, that I can work on my days off. One idea I had was trying to get a job working the ramp.
