There is currently a thread on the majors board titled "W-2's", I urge anyone who has doubts about transitioning to NJA to read through it. You will more than likely be suprised where the NJA pilots are in comparison to the major carriers let alone the regionals! Fractional pay has come a long way in the last couple of years thanks to the 1108. Pay is just one piece of the pie, others have done an excellent job listing the other benefits of working for NJA. Good luck with your decision.

How long will you guys be hiring for? I will get my app in during the next few months. I guess I will go get my ATP. This sounds like the kind of job I have always wanted. I am sick of being treated like a piece of garbage at this regional

Indefinetly. 350 in 2007 but I think it will be more than that from the people I have talked to. Well over 100 A/C yet to be delivered. Rumors of doubling in size in the next ten years.

I don't have much to add to this discussion, but for what it's worth, I'm currently trying to plot how to spend as little time at a regional as possible to get enough time move on to a frac or a 91 job. I'm pretty convinced. Best of luck.

So true. Made more on the W2 my first full year than I did as a 6 year Saab CA at Mesaba before the concessions hit. I also have a 401k that is half of what it took 6+ years to achieve at XJ. Lots of soft money at NJA.

I'd say well over 2/3 of the NJA newhire :) class this week are from the regionals; there are several retirees from the majors, a few part 91 folks, 1 or 2 from FLOPS, and a couple straight from the military, yours truely included.

From talking to the regional folks, it sounds like they will all be much happier here.

Best of luck!

I laughed for 5 minutes so hard I couldnt see straight!

Then I remembered I worked for 2 of those joints, and I cried for 4 hours like a white boy in Prison:bawling:

Wolfy did you do the curled up rape shower scene after remembering where you used to work?
