Reduced flight schedules 9/11??

Anyone know anything about this? The flights I take every week to get home on Thursday nights (2 different US Airways Express carriers) aren't scheduled for 9/11. Are airlines reducing flights that day in expectation of reduced demand? The flights are scheduled for every day up to and after 9/11 but not that Thursday. Not really a big deal, just wondering if any other airlines are doing this.

Probably. They did the same thing last year. It is still pretty fresh in most peoples minds.

I would imagine 9/11 being a good day to nonrev.

Hmmm...letme think. Something about this biz being cyclical in nature. Sept is always slow...and that is when I normally take vacation
