Had a friend get hired recently at Gemini who knew noone(so he said). Had a lot of regional exp. Even took a few years off and got back into it with another regional and got hired about 1 year into it.

DW? That you?

Loving life at the GSpot right now. The 17 on can get tough (more so in Saudi than in Shanghai...) but the 13 days at home is wonderful. Not fighting for the JS to work doesn't s*ck, either!

One thing about any ACMI or similar - you'll see the world, warts and wonders both.

AS others have said - do research, know what you're gsetting into, be real careful about signing any bonds, and make sure your family knows the deal ahead of time. All my classmates from earlier this year were RJ/Dash8 drivers, so pretty radical lifestyle changes.

Also, I think World historically keeps their pilots on the road even longer than everyone else.
I don't think that is the case anymore (as I return home from being on the road for 18 days, but it was my choice). I think Atlas takes the cake from what I heard, 17 days, then non-vol extended. Home for 7. At least with World I know I'll be home for 12+. World will be hiring soon and throughout '08.
