I'm sure this has come up before, and am truly sorry for posting.

I'm getting laid off soon from a 135 operator and need to get my ass in gear. I'm making mid 80's and trying not to take too big of a hit in pay.

What is the average 1st year pay at CS with o.t, perdiem, etc. included?

I'm questimating that upgrade time should be around 2 years. Am I correct?

I recently read that CS will match NJ +500. Is that 70K +500?

I appreciate any info..thanks...

As of 1 April this is the pay scale. I got this information off airline pilot central. Others are going to have to chime in on overtime and the other things you wanted to know about the salary.

I am told upgrade time is now in the 3.5 year range. This is with the new seniority based system they have implemented. They used to be merit based.

7/7 Schedule - 182 Days per

.........PIC Salary/OT Rate/FO Salary/OT Rate

Year 1 $83,720 $690 Year 1 $55,510 $458

Year 2 $87,906 $725 Year 2 $58,286 $480

Year 3 $92,301 $761 Year 3 $61,200 $504

Year 4 $96,916 $799 Year 4 $64,260 $530

Year 5 $101,762 $839 Year 5 $67,473 $556

Year 6 $104,815 $864 Year 6 $69,497 $573

Year 7 $107,960 $890 Year 7 $71,582 $590

Year 8 $111,198 $916 Year 8 $73,729 $608

Year 9 $114,534 $944 Year 9 $75,941 $626

Year 10 $120,261 $991 Year 10 $79,738 $657

Year 11 $123,869 $1,021

Year 12 $127,585 $1,052

Year 13 $131,412 $1,083

Upgrade is more like 3+ years. OT usually as much as you want. With per diem and after insurance I fiure you could clear 60,000 your first year. If you worked one day of OT a tour mabe 65,000.

OT has historically been a very predictable way to boost your income. CS recently announced its intention to implement some alternate schedules to supplement the basic 7/7 and improve efficiency. The details have yet to be divulged, but I wouldn't count on OT being as readily available as it has in the past, once the new schedules are implemented. Just one man's opinion...

You will also get @ $9K+ in per-diem, so first year with no O/T is more like $64Kish, throw in a few days of O/T and you're over that easy. Some people dont count it, but I never understood why. It comes with your expense check @ every two weeks, just like your normal paycheck.

Thanks for all the input guys!

2 more questions...

1. How long does it take to get an interview after applying?

2. When transitioning to PIC, do you start at year 1 PIC pay or year 3?

1) Million dollar question, no-one except for the person doing the interview calls really knows. Much faster if you have an internal reccomendation. Our hiring team is going through a transition right now so it is very difficult to forecast.

2) You go to captain pay in whatever year you are currently in. In your scenario year 3 capt pay.

You'll clear just over 70k as a first yr FO at NJ.

Just curious but what does that have to do with his questions? He was being specific about Citation Shares right?

After reading through some of these posts on this forum I have started to see a trend. It usually goes like this.

  1. Someone will post specifically about ANOTHER fractional company.
  2. The thread will have absolutely nothing to do with NetJets.
  3. A NetJets employee, or their wife, will make a post that has absolutely nothing to do with the thread but promotes NetJets.
Are there moderators in this forum to delete these meaningless NetJet posts or do they work for NetJets as well?
