Just what we need, more low cost competition in the US.

For those (like me) who were hoping it would never be, check out this video:

Painting an A320

Oh well. What's a little more downward pressure on our wages?

Let me guess, you fly for Jet Blue, Frontier, or Southwest? Looks like more jobs as far as I can tell. I am sure every pilot at JBLU thanks Neeleman very night before he/she goes to bed. Then again, it's the mentality of a seniority based system. I got mine-time to pull the ladder up.

Nope. Fly for a regional, but don't like the idea of the largest paycheck of my career coming from a regional. The saying is "there's nowhere to go but up," but what if there is no "up?" Like it or not, jetBlue (and soon to be Virgin Atlantic) is having a severe effect on A320, 737, and EMB rates. Don't believe it? Ask the Delta pilots what was used to calculate their rates.

As long as people are willing to work for it, all rates will suffer. Wasn't there some union that was supposed to protect against this? ALPO, APLA...something like that.
