I was wondering if anyone can suggest some reading material, maybe some ground school books for me to look over. My job involves waiting at a location for some time, so I'd love to pick up something to read, about training, and maybe about the industry while I wait. I am Canadian by the way, so relevant material is important.

I thank you in advance ;)

It might be a long time before you get a suitably Canadian response on here. It's hard enough to learn one country's standards, much less another's. Drop by your local airport and an instructor will be glad to thrust some reading material at you. The mere fact that you're willing to study ensures your success. Have fun.

Thanks Cardinal. And yeah I'm having some what of a hard time finding Canadian info. But I think Transport Canada is very closely related to the FAA anyway.

I've been told that Stick and Rudder is a good book to start with, so I'll pick it up today. I'm excited to use those spare hours I got each day for something useful.

don't forget a few aviation classics authors:

earnest k. gann
antoinne st. euxpberry
william faunlker (pylon)
...etc....etc...
