Should have the 135 IFR minimums in a few weeks, and Piedmont ain't calling.
What's the interview like at Ram Air? How long between interview and IOE?

Thanks,
ceo.

Unless you live around Raleigh and can come by for a visit, the interview is done over the phone by Jerome, the chief pilot. It's nothing tricky or hard, just questions about your flying experience. He wants to make sure you can handle all the instrument flying that comes with the job.

If accepted, you'll get a class date (you may get put in the pool, but only for a few weeks). Training from start to finish, including IOE, is about a week, a little more if you get a twin run right off the bat.

Do you need to call ahead before you visit? I'm in that area and Charlotte on a regular basis (family ties) and wouldn't mind touching bases with RAM...

Thank you,
I am three states up, so can't just drop in. Will Jerome invite you for class just based on the phone interview?

Yes, if the interview goes well and your resume is decent. If everythings fine, usually you can attend the next class which are usually every 3-4 weeks.

We need people in Charlotte badly, to either fly out of CLT or JQF depending on how the runs are doing. I'm pretty sure there is a class starting at the end of the month. Email Jerome your resume ASAP & you may get hooked up sooner than you think. If you're really close to mins (like less than 10 hours) something may be able to be worked out.

Don't just drop in, short notice might be ok though. Better yet, email the resume to the CP so we can do a short "can this guy fly on the gauges" flight when you are in town. PM me if you want more info.
