Anyone have any comments about the training at RAA Regional Airline Academy in Deland FL. Specifically the Airline Trasition Program and Type rating programs for the Beach 1900 and CRJ?

What do you want to know? Are you planning on going there to add a second CRJ to your list of aircraft flown?

If you want a Beech type rating, you can get it for a lot less money than what they are charging. Although, I'm sure if you pay your money too RAA/Colgan, you'll get your type regardless...

When the program first started I thought it would be great. With all that money coming in to the company, a raise was sure to come about.. 6 months have gone by and no raise.. Now I'm just sick and tired of flying with people who shouldn't be flying a kite.

cher: so you fly for colgan and see the quality of the folks coming out of RAA ? I take it from your statement, its not positive...

please, don't compare Colgan to anything.

it's the biggest scam airline out there. Their directors call up people's names from the resumes they get by mail and say "your resume looks good, and we're interested, but you have to apply online and pay $38."

They never call back once you pay them, like many other pilots out there.

The pilot group may be a nice bunch of people in Colgan, but the airline is just a low life joke ... if RAA students get in there, hey, going from scam to scam isn't all that bad, is it (get used to it by now).
