Im sitting here watching some youtube army helicopter videos, and it seems like all the pilots are wearing fatigues and the jacket as well. Is that not hot as hell??? Why do they not wear flight suits???

You don't know where they were during filming. We used to wear wetsuits in SoCal due to offshore water temperature. Kinda sucked...

Army aircrew usually don't wear flight suits. They have fire resistant, two piece flight gear that look just like their camaflouge fatigues. Why? When not flying, they live in the field. They often land their helicopters and sleep out in the woods with the grunts.

Meanwhile, AF aircrew wear a flight suit and sleep at the Hilton. LOL
