Be focused, patient and manage your personal life so you can move, work the hours as needed and afford to live of low paying entry level salaries.

Everyone's right, stay away from academies. They are CRAP. They're interested in one thing: di-king as much money as they can out of you. Stay at the local FBO, and NETWORK. Meet the right people, and you'll get a job. In the meantime, instruct, build your time, and STAY AWAY FROM PFT. If you've got time, you've got options.

Do you want to go corporate or airlines? It doesn't really matter......30 is not old at all. Corporate it doesn't matter...airlines have the age 60 rule, but who's to say that'll still be there in 30 years?

Just don't get SJS and work your way up. Aviation is one of the most 'dues paying' businesses out there. You'll have to take $hitty jobs with low pay to get that good job.....get ready for it. But the light at the end of the tunnel is more than worth it.

Good luck!
