mGreetings everyone,

I still believe LAX and CMH are the easiest interviews to get right now. Rumor is that a TEB interview won't come to 2008 for those just getting applications in. I'd prefer to just get in and get a seniority number. I put TEB as my #1 but also indicated that I was willing to except CMH if available sooner. If i get an email for an interview do I ask if its for TEB or CMH? Even if its for CMH, any chance of asking for something in TEB. CMH is an 8 hour drive, TEB is one hour for me. Would definitely not mind the CMH drive if i could get on the 7/7 schedule right out of training. I could do that drive twice a month, no problem. I want this job more than I ever wanted any job and therefore am willing to do whatever I have to do to make it work.

So basically, I just wanted to know if anybody was offered an interview for one base which wasn't your preference but managed to get your base of choice once all was said and done. Fingers are crossed...hoping to get on at NJA and retire there.

Thanks everyone

ah, i can just picture it now. you get hired into cmh, you dive 8 hours one way for a few months, get tired of it and demand a hba.

i'm completly joking around with you.

yes it's possible, i'm sure to get a back door into teb. more likely you'd get hired into cmh and wait for an fo bid into teb. hopefully before you get done with training.

seniority is important, but so is your sanity. an 8 hour drive will get old very fast. expect to do it 4 times a month untill after 2010, if you get hired into cmh.

Hey Jaybird, thanks for the reply. Yeah, definitely know what I'd be getting into. Wouldn't complain about it or quit like some are doing. Would be super if I could bid TEB and get it right out of training. Wonder what the chances of that would be. Will keep everyone posted on how this process is going...

As for the "CX" connection...was interested in them way back in the day. If I were there I probably wouldn't leave. Know some friends that work there and love it. First year base in Hong Kong might take its toll on the family.
