Quick ATP written sign-off question

Ok I know you don't have to have a signoff to take the atp written, but do I need the instructor signoff that I've had additional instruction in the deficient areas that I missed questions in before I take the checkride? You know, its that little signoff area down at the bottom of the test report. Thanks.

i think you only need the sign off if you failed the test then took it again. also you do not need any endorsements for the checkride if memory serves me right.
