This is a dumb question, but I need to ask it. What is the difference between the blue and green airports on the jeppesen. I am going to an interview tommorrow and I lost the legend and didn't realize it till today. I can't seem to find a website that has any info. Thanks for the help

Green- no instrument procedures, VFR airport. Blue- an instrument approach of some kind, IFR airport. It also signifies the type of airspace above the airport in that you can determine how low the class e goes before becoming class g.

Aren't they BBQ vs. non-BBQ airports?

or

Those with an instrument approach vs. ones without an instrument approach?

Blue are airports whose ass Chuck Norris has kicked, green are airports whose ass Chuck Norris is going to kick.

I'm going to a skywest group interview Been studying all week for the atp part of it and over looked that I didn't have a legend for the plates. Thanks for the help.

That is an airport with no instrument approach for the noaa charts. The green on the noaa has an approach, just not for the military.

exactly,. yes, green airports have approaches, but the blue ones are DOD 'equipped'. Brown ones, no approach.
