I have a few questions in regards to the commercial rating. If I already have my instrument rating, will i need to do any instrumnet approaches, holds, etc to get my commercial instrument, or since I already have my instrument will it just be automatcially applied?

Also, in the FAR's it says that I need 20 hours of training on required manuvers. Is this just the commercial manuvers itself or all the stuff since I got my private rating?

Thanks in advance

No instrument stuff on the commercial. When you get your multi-engine rating you'll have to do some instrument stuff since it's a new class of aircraft.

It says you need training in the "areas of operation" that are listed as part of the commercial requirements.

If you're not Part 141, the that may include "all the stuff" you've done since your private. For example;e, if you already have your complex endorsement, you probably have at least some of the required training in that area.
