Can anyone help with the following questions:?

1. How long is the training for Chautauqua? (And where is it?)

2. How long do new hires sit reserve before being able to hold a line?

3. What are the requirements for upgrading to Captain?

4. How long should someone expect to be an FO for?

------------------------------------

-Any other information regarding the company and their interview process would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

1. 6-12 weeks. Indoc in IND, Systems and sim. could be in STL or HOU or both.

2. I just sat reserve four months untill I could hold one, it depends on your base though.

3. I'm not sure, I think 2500 total is one of them.

4. It again depends on your base. I think the magic number is around 1.5-2 years. Thats what I hear anyway.

1. six weeks (12... come on... who took 12?)

2. reserve time... depends on the base... no reserve to 5-6 months.

3. 2500 hours... like the above post says

4. nobody is upgrading in 1.5 years... right now it's a little over two years (2.5) and SHOULD improve greatly as we start to take delivery on a mess of new airplanes.

The bottom line about upgrade time is that upgrades are happening because of growth... not because of the couple people leaving each month for bigger and better things. Get in in the beginning of the new hiring and upgrade Should come quickly. Get in at the end and you could be an FO for a lot longer.

The alternate in my class took 12 weeks to finish. Also my friend just got done with systems and has two weeks till he starts the sim. They're putting 40 to a class now, there's not enough sims to cover all the training.

The most Junior person going to upgrade has a DOH of 10/02.
