Just wanted to know if i could get an update on these questions that were posted in earlier air tahoma threads.
Does anyone know if the airport authority at rickenbacker knows that there is a huge HAZARDOUS WHITE PLASTIC DRUM of 100LL sitting in the hanger???
Is this the same drum they use to defuel airplanes and then refuel them ???
When is the last time Air Tahoma hired a woman pilot?
When is the last time Air Tahoma hired a minority pilot and kept him/her on the line for more than a couple weeks?
I also heard from one of their mechanics that they blew an engine on a 580 a year ago and collected the full insurance payout to have the engine rebuilt (approx $150k, from the Throne Insurance agency in Seattle WA), but actually had it done by Lee Holly's friend at Miami Turbines for the cost of parts (closer to $35k). If that's true, NR and all the roto-ruders made a little over a hundred thousand for one of their pilots losing one in the air. Way to go guys!!!
I bet the John Throne company would love to hear about that!
What ever happened to Lee Holley taking the compressor sections of a scrapped L-188 and cv-580, mating them to half timed out turbines, then putting them on airplanes??
Air Tahoma is not a authorized engine shop for christ's sakes!!
Bud Rude, who honks bobo, once said "my engine test cell is on our airplanes"!!
How are Lee Holley and Gene Contor able to get away with this??
I hear a couple mechanics there are putting together a pretty good case for possible fraud and potential violations. It should be funny when they decide to come forward with what they've got. They have the rood people fooled. They act like company guys!
