We spoke with one of the guys a couple months ago. He was flying out of Caracas as we were on our way in. He was flying a Beech 99. I haven't met any of the pilots on the ground at Caracas yet though. We normally use a military base in the middle of town and they use the international airport on the coast. Don't know if I would care to fly a -99 over that much open water myself. But they are flying there, maybe other equipment too.

Is Sundance Air still down there flying UPS in 1900s? Who is Ameriflight flying for?

I beleive Sundance has one BE-1900 left flying into Caracas. I met a guy at TT Services in Maiquetia a couple weeks ago. I was introduced to him by one of the Merlin Airways guys as the last Sundance pilot. I didn't even know who Sundance was at the time. We chatted and he was flying a 1900. So, I guess they are still there.
