Heard a funny story the other day...does anybody still refer to the dastardly "No Pick-Up List," or did that go away with Crusaders and SeaKings?

I heard the HS bubbas making jokes about it...we had a "I'm the AW pick me up first" hand signal....

I used to fly the Seahawk, and if someone on the boat pissed us off enough, we told them they made the list. It was all for fun (at least I think!?).

Now that I fly the Seaking, we have to pick EVERYONE up!

Hoist

I flew the Tuesday flight hoisting the students, and the Wednesday morning hop for the A/F paradrops and vectors. Sorry, but I don't have control of the hoist up front. Are you Air Force, or Navy? If you are Navy, that day took too long!

Again, sorry for the short hoist.

I know a guy who flew '60's off cruisers and destroyers, but spent a short tour on a carrier. One day a couple of fixed-wing types were giving them crap about something, and our hero says to his fellow rotor-head "he's on the list."

Next thing they new, they were finding bottles of Jack and what-not outside their room with notes like "this is from Lt.s Jones and Smith. We don't want to be on the list..." etc. :D

Typhoon 1244,

I like your quote. Where is it from?

"I want rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados...mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits...muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, a__ kickers, s___ kickers...and Methodists!"

Blazing Saddles, the greatest motion picture ever made... :D

'''Scuse me while I whip this out."
