I was talkin with a pilot from American about flyin freight and he casually just said that flyin freight would be fun 'cause yall get to do stuff that they don't get to do with passengers in the back...It got me thinkin and was curious if there are things you can do with the plane that you wouldn't be able to do with passengers in the back and scarin the funk outta of them...all the while obviously without comprimising safety or a/c limitations. So, just wonderin to yall get to have a little more fun with your planes?

Tryin to keep it real,

We pretty much just fly the airplane the same as the pax guys do. It is nice to be able to handle the aircraft a little more aggressively if needed though ie, fast decent or climb. Take care.

Here's something you don't get to do as a pax pilot.

Fly with 44 horses in the back for 2 or 3 hours. What a joy!

Once you get the knack of the MD-11 barrel roll, the horses barely even notice.

:)

I don't know what other cargo pilots are doing, but I have a first leg in the morning that is almost 2 hours long.

I been using that time to do my reading assignments for college. When I'm not doing that, I'm jogging around the flight deck buck neckid, picking my nose and using a styrofoam coffee cup for a latrine, just like everybody else that flys single pilot aircraft with no facilities.

Here is a link to a short story that will give you food for thought, should you think about gettin' down wit yo bad self, when no one is looking.

Yeah baby...but what a way to go....there are only two ways out of this world, style and accuracy...they went for style points...god bless 'em!

i dont fly big junk, but i do fly single pilot in a single. one thing i can do is fly the approach to a 1/2 mile final at 180 knots.... try doin that with pax in a turbofan :)
