You can find some cheaper 1br apartments in Hollywood, and can take all side roads to work. Also east of Burbank in Pasadena has some less expensive apartments. I'd def look on craigslist in Hollywood though. Its not as bad as everyone thinks

craigslist is going to be your best bet... rent.com and those other apartment guides don't usually have the best prices for people like us..(poor people) not sure if you work for AMF or are going to in the future but you can probably find another pilot to split a place with... that's what I had to do.. I couldn't afford anything mor than a crashpad, living in the same room with three others until I started flying the 99 full time and even then it has been hard going GOOD LUCK
