Hey all my brother is working at 121 llc as a a&p mechanic he has 10 + years working on dc-9 to 747 and he and his wife want to move back to STL for personal things. What is life like as a mechanic at republic in stl pay ect. Any answers would be great just no bs thanks.

tell him to go apply at GoJEt! from what I understand their mechanics love their job and they keep really really really good records over there. The FAA gave them a special smiley sticker last week!

GoJEt doesn't have mechanics. The TSA mechanics do all the work on their planes. But they are 2 separate companies. Really...

Was that smiley sticker the one that said "please pay us x-million dollars for not properly lubricating your nose wheel."?

yeah i think that "x" represented a large quantity!

Can't give you specific info, but STL is one of our better MX bases I think. It has grown a lot since we added CAL flying there (we now have a MX hanger in STL). We used to only have line guys to work the ACC flying, but now we do inspections as well (I don't know if they are going to do "C" checks there or not). Most of they guys seem pretty happs out on the line. Sorry I couldn't give you more info.
