Hey?

Can I go from terminal A (United) to terminal B (COEX) at IAH without leaving security and having to rescreen? I have a 20 min connect next week on my commute.

Thanks in advance!

don't think so - you'll have to go downstairs (outside security) take the train to terminal B and go through security again. This will take you at least 15 min.

If you flew in the Delta/American side of terminal A, I think there is a bus that will take you to terminal B (within security).

Yes you can. Because on the CAL DAL code share they run a bus between A-B-C. I believe it goes out of gate A20.

No...You will have to take the interterminal train. And go through security again. Not too sure where the bus is picked up by delta though.

Yes you can go A to B with out going through screening again. The busses are run by CAL just ask a DAL red coat when you get over the A 20

You can take the bus from Terminal A to Terminal B as has been stated. However, you will have to go out through security and back through security on the other side of the Terminal A ticket counters. United and Delta go out of opposite ends of the same Terminal, but they each have their own security checkpoint. So, either way, you will have to go back through security in order to ride the bus between Terminal A and B. Just thought you should know before you get down here.

hey saluki,

ok i got it, only the one part of terminal a where delta is has the bus where u dont have to exit security to go to B, so what if I arrive on frontier from den instead of UAL is that in the right place to not go through security?

thanks

When I was at Skywest for a short time, I did, and still do, the Terminal B-Terminal A trek. If I had a tight connection and I was on the north side of Term B, I sometimes asked a ramper if they had time, if they could drive me over and offered them $5-10. They always did it for free and dropped me off at UAL ops. Just don't try to walk. Even though I had a red SIDA badge allowing me access to all ramp areas except customs and terminal D, I got yelled at walking from Term B to Term A.

If you took Frontier then you would be fine since Frontier parks at the South Concourse of A Terminal which is also where Delta parks. I don't know how often that shuttle from Term A to B runs since it's probably not as busy as the shuttle between Express' Term B and Continental's terminal E. I hope for you're sake it's frequent. Good luck either way.

The shuttle from Terminal A to Terminal B runs on demand, i.e., if people need to transfer they have to call one over there. I think they pull one off of the B to E route, so it may take a few minutes just for the bus to arrive. I would just haul butt down to the inter-terminal train one level below baggage claim and go through security over at B. The lines are never very long over there. One thing I'm not sure about is if you'd need a jumpseat pass to get through security. If so, you'd have to wait in line at the ticket counter. Let us know how it goes.

Yes, you would be in luck if you took Frontier, as they park right across from Delta in Terminal A. Definitely, the Airline to fly if you want to make your flight in Terminal B. Good Luck!

20 min connection from A to b, takes a major set of cajones.
First of all, you are talking IAH.
What makes you think your flight will actually land on time?
Been commuting to IAH for a year now, and nothing is more frusterating than sitting in the cockpit watching the weather at IAH NOT allow you to land.
Second, waiting for a bus can take more time than just doing the OJ run. If you decide to do the run, take the elevator, or stairs to the basement. Get on the underground train, or if the train isnt at the station, OJ run again to Terminal B. Once at Term B, run up the escalator, or take the elevator to Ticketing level and security is usually a breeze if you are in uniform.
Good luck, it is IAH after all!
