Qantas in ANC - any idea why?

Just saw on flytecomm that Qantas B747-400 landed in ANC from Shanghai today.
Would anyone know what the cause was or was this scheduled?

Don't know what it was, don't think Qantas flies frieghter -400's? Good point though!

It is an unscheduled service, and they usually have 3 or 4 each summer.
This is according to one of the pax that I spoke with at Chilkoot Charlie's.
He told me a few years ago he did one of these flights into Oshkosh, for the
airshow. They also used a whale for that trip. (747).

If you have been in ANC for any length of time, then I'm sure I don't have to explain
Chilkoot Charlie's.........my head still hurts.

OMG!! Koots! Brings back memories. Fuzzy, grainy memories, but still memories. I have never seen as much bizzare stuff as I have at Koots. I am surprised the passenger was able to remember where he was from.
