I'm having the hardest time putting together a good cover letter.
I want to keep it to one page with one paragraph on who I am, how I heard about the company (or who referred me) and to get the attention to keep on reading. Then a second paragraph on my credentials, recent experience and past jobs that would be beneficial to the employer. A third paragraph on how I think I could contribute to the company in the future, why I would be a "right" choice for a candidate and so on.
It's hard to write objectively about oneself and not use overuse common words such as: Highly qualified, team player, being an asset... I'm trying my hardest to personalize it more, but not to the point where I totally omit mentioning these things also.
Does anyone have any good suggestions or links to sites online where you can review other pilots resumes and cover letters? I just want to get a good draft and then personalize it, adding my own credentials and experience. I need a good starting point, right now I feel a little lost...
