If we fly to San Juan and return do we need to go through custome in Florida. I know people who, when returning from South America, land and clear U.S. customs in San Juan and fly home. Is it diferent if you depart San Juan for Ft Lauderdale and then home to Georgia. Someone who has done this since 911 please help me.

Thanks,
HEADWIND

No, no customs. But we did have to pass a USDA inspection before we left San Juan (presumably to make sure we didn't take any plants or animals from the island.)

I haven't heard of the USDA thing. I've always gone right through. It's just like going to Wichita, Dallas, etc. with regard to immigration. U.S. Territory.
