I hear alot about the crappy schedules you guys get at PSA, and I was just woundering if one of you guys could show me what your average schedule looks like, kind of like a sample...

thanks

There is no such thing as an average schedule. The problems stem from short stage lengths. The biggest issues are 2-3 hours sits at the hubs and trips that start early and end late making commuting hard. The schedules have gotten *slightly* better in the past few months so I guess there is a possibility that the trend will continue.

Are you serious? your schedule is going to suck as a new hire (reserve). Plain and simple.

Jesus, im just curious, I live in dayton so the whole reserve callout thing wouldnt be that bad... Does everyone one on here hate their job? ;)

If you like 10 or 11 days off a month 12 and 13 after 12 years than PSA is for you.

RSV callout is 90 minutes in CLT and DAY. 60 in TYS. We also have hot reserve in CLT and DAY where you have a 15 minute callout, that means you should be at the airport ready to go, especially in CLT where it can take 10 minutes to walk to your gate depending on where you are.

Don't be surprised if you're on reserve for up to a year if you come here. That means 10 days off a month.

It's cool that you are curious and no I am not Jesus. :) I love the job just hate the pay.

If you live in base, you probably won't have any problems with the schedule. Commuting to reserve can be expensive. Days off for lineholders are from 11-15 days off a month. Just depends on what your seniority can get you. Not all of the trips start early and end late. There are a lot of trips that are commutable (this is all recently new), but it also depends upon where you are commuting from. I go to work, do my job, and go home. I really don't have a lot of complaints.

I am on reserve in Charlotte, and I actually got 12 days off this month, so things seem to be getting better. I also commute, and so far it hasn't been too bad.

There has been no base movement since October (I think) with the exception of some junior JJs getting involentary moves. The last new hire class all got assigned CLT even though there were senior people who had CLT as their number one choice. I'm not sure what the status of that is. In theory once classes start up again and *if* the company follows the contract it should be relativly easy to get DAY as a lot of people seem to want out. However, if there aren't any new classes and the flying stays pretty steady, it may take a while for any sort of base transfer to happen. There supposedly is a leveling bid that is effective July 1st but as you can't displace anybody on it there is probably going to be a minimal amount of movement.

My .02 anyways.
