Hey guys! I have class starting on May 24th with PSA and just had some quick questions.
1. What are the junior bases right now?
2. How long is reserve right now?
3. What are the upgrade times looking like?
4. How many set days off a month on reserve?
They are going to hire 215 for this year, so hopefully that will affect my questions for the positive.
Thanks for the help, and any other news or updates would be much appreciated. Thanks, melbourneflyer

Those are all good questions however, the answers particularly regarding upgrade are not easy to answer. Many questions around here have no serious answers. Junior base? I'm not certain but there are about 50 Dornier FO's that are seat locked right now and when released who knows where they will all end up. I would say DAY is currently the most junior base. Reserve? Ask the J4J guys it sucks around here. Best of luck to you. Sorry the answers aren't clearer. Things around here are either going to be great or lousy, only time will tell.

melbourneflyer,

Just as the previous poster mentened, your questions are hard to answer at this point. I would look for many more changes to come PSAs' way.

If I were you, at this point I would count on Dayton being your base for a while though Philly might open up if they make Charlotte a base.

I would easily count on 6 months for reserve if not longer.

From your hire date with current aircraft projections(which are vague, depending on who you talk to), upgrade would probably run over four years.

Reserve is a min. of 10 days off.

Good luck to ya and I hope you enjoy yourself. Like I said though, my guess is that the company your coming to today is not going to be the same tomorrw.

If you have any other things you need help with feel free to PM me. Or just post here. All of the PSA people on this site are very helpful when schedualing isnt F'ing us in the A$$.
